Good evening. We've all had a fantastic first full day at Derwent Hill. The children are all well and having a great time.
Today, we have had groups out completing hill walks exploring the beautiful Lake District including Fleetwood Pike, Derwent Water and Keswick. The sights were stunning and the children showed great resilience and perseverance. Other groups have visited Honister Pass for a ghyl scramble; spent time orienteering in the grounds; enjoyed canoeing trip across on Derwent Water with a stop off one 'One Tree Island' for a hot chocolate and of course the chance to experience the famous Derwent Hill 'Big Swing'!
Tonight, the remaining groups have completed their night walk, including a chance to see the Northern Lights, whilst we got to enjoy episode 2 of Aim High's Got Talent. What another talented bunch!
The children are now fast asleep ahead of another fantastic day tomorrow.

Hello! We have started our journey home with buses full of very happy but also very tired children.
What an amazing week we’ve had! It’s been a privilege to watch the children challenge themselves and grow throughout the week. Through their fantastic attitudes and perseverance, they have been amazing representatives for Aim High, their schools and their families. They have been a pleasure to take away.
During the week, we have taken lots of photos and videos to give you a snapshot of what your children have been up to. These will be uploaded here over the next couple of weeks once the staff feel human again!!
